Magician Josue Muska (Black Jack)
Black Jack is the stage name of one of the first Congolese magician. A Frenchman who was born as Josue Musenge, in the most deprived part of the large city of Lubumbashi, in the Province of Katanga. His first tryst with magic came when he began to learn magic tricks from his dad in 1995, who had learned the tricks during his time with a priest. Josue further developed his skills during his stay in Johannesburg, South Africa, which is one of the breeding grounds for street magicians and illusionists.
Black Jack started learning magic in South Africa in 2006 by Fotunatus and was mentored by Wayne and Colin Underwood. In 2008 he started performing magic as a career, for birthday parties, restaurants, and other corporate functions. He developed his sleight of hand, and in 2009 he join the Circus Algeria. There he performed as a stage illusionist and clown for 2 years, honing and highlighting his talents with balloon sculptures, stilt-walking and fire eating. He is the founder of Black Circle, a project that give back to the community.
Ever the innovator, Black Jack wanted his magic and illusions to appeal to all races of people and as a result, he incorporated into his art certain elements of acting as well as comedy. Black Jack has appeared on television, radio, and featured in newspapers numerous times. He has also released a DVD entitled The ARRIVAL OF BLACK JACK . Black Jack has worked for several casinos, and is planning on a TV series, his dream is be the first known African street magician in the world.
